In what can be termed as impregnable record, Chris Gayle became the first player on the planet to hit 1000 sixes in Twenty 20 games! During the Kings XI Punjab's game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Friday (Oct 30) in the IPL 2020 edition, Gayle had hit 7 sixes to get to this almost unsurpassable milestone.

Going into this game against Rajasthan Royals, Gayle was on 993 maximums in the T20 format. He batted brilliantly against RR and scored 99 runs off just 63 deliveries which included 8 massive sixes and 6 fours. He got his seventh six of the innings, thereby getting to the milestone, in the 19th over of the innings bowled by young Kartik Tyagi! Later Gayle hit his 8th six off the innings in the 20th over before cleaned up by Jofra Archer.
