With the series in line, England recalled James Anderson into the playing XI while resting Jamie Overton from the previous game! It would be interesting to see the duel between James Anderson and Virat Kohli in what could be the final time in Internationals.

India are currently leading the 5-match series by 2-1 while England needs to win this fifth Test match to square the series! Home team are going into this series with a 3-0 victory over New Zealand at home while India played just a practice game ahead of the Test in England! Going by the recent performances, this must be England's best chance to level the series after being on the backfoot against India last year at home!

Wicket-keeper Sam Billings has also been included in the XI as COVID-positive Ben Stokes has not yet fully recovered. The fifth Test will be played at the Edgbaston in Birmingham starting from July 01st. Play starts at 03:30 pm IST

England playing XI: Alex Lees, Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (c), Sam Billings (wk), Matthew Potts, Stuart Broad, Jack Leach, James Anderson.
