Suryakumar Yadav has now climbed to no. 2 in the latest updated rankings after his superb display in the ongoing 5-match T20I series in West Indies! This new Indian opener has so far scored 111 runs in the 3 T20I innings so far with the best score of 76 in the third T20I.

The new Indian opener has been in super touch with the bat at the moment and is with 816 rating points. Incidentally, these are also the highest rating points SKY has achieved in his T20I playing career. For the record, Yadav was at no. 4 in these rankings before the update.
At the moment, Pakistan captain Babar Azam is at the no. 1 position in the T20I rankings for batsmen with 818 rating points. As a matter of fact, he achieved a career best of 896 rating points while playing against England in 2019!
With just a gap of 2 points, Suryakumar does have a chance to dethrone Babar from the top in the coming week! India are slated to play their remaining two games of the ongoing 5-match series over the weekend while Pakistan will only play their next T20I later this month against India in the Asia Cup tournament!
