Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has been ruled out of the upcoming 2-match T20I series at home against West Indies owing to a side strain. To add more light to this, he is not yet ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup but a decision will be taken with the all-rounder set to link up with the squad over the weekend in Perth (as reported by ESPN Cricinfo)!

Earlier this year, Stoinis flew home from Sri Lanka during the ODI series due to a minor strain. He had recovered in under three weeks' time back then and featured in The Hundred tournament in England before playing in the ODIs against Zimbabwe and New Zealand at home!
The two T20Is between Australia and West Indies will be played on Wednesday (Oct 05) in Canberra and on Friday (Oct 07) at The Gabba in Brisbane. Australia are currently ranked no. 1 in ICC T20I team rankings while West Indies are at the no. 8 position! One can expect a proper thumping by the home team Australia in this series even though the opponents are the mighty Windies!
