The format changed! The hosting country changed! Here we are in the 2023 edition of the ODI World Cup in India! Both these nations will play their tournament opener in Hyderabad in the 2nd match of the edition on Friday (Oct 06th).
Pakistan are sure favorites to win this game. However, the fight the Dutch put in their recent International games against the top games is what one will get to see in this match for sure!
On the other hand, Pakistan played both their warm-up games in Hyderabad - against New Zealand and Australia. Both games were high-scoring and Pakistan, incidentally, lost both games! Couldn't defend against New Zealand and couldn't chase against Australia!
The Netherlands, on the other hand, did not get much practice as their game against India got washed away and only batted just over 14 overs against England. It would surely play on their minds as they are playing in the Indian sub-continent conditions!
