The action will begin with the T20 leg, with the opening game set for October 2, followed by the second and third matches on October 3 and October 5. After a short break, the ODI series will take place, starting on October 8, with the final two fixtures slated for October 11 and October 14.

ACB CEO Naseeb Khan expressed his delight at organizing the contest, stressing that the series will showcase Afghanistan’s commitment to hosting top-level cricket and provide fans with thrilling encounters. He highlighted the importance of the partnership between the two boards, which has paved the way for such high-profile tours.

Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury also welcomed the development, noting that the matches would serve as excellent preparation for his side in the lead-up to future international competitions. He emphasized that playing against a competitive Afghanistan unit would offer his players valuable experience and opportunities to test themselves.

The series will follow soon after the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, where both Afghanistan and Bangladesh are placed in the same group. With both teams eager to fine-tune their squads, this bilateral contest promises to deliver high-intensity white-ball cricket in the UAE.
