Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Shreyas Iyer has been fined for slow over-rate during their game against Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) played on Tuesday (Sep 29). As per the report, Capitals took 23 minutes more to complete their full quota of 20 overs.
"Delhi Capitals Captain Shreyas Iyer has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Abu Dhabi on 29 September 2020. As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Iyer was fined Rs 12 lakh," stated IPL Management in a media release.

Coming to the game result (Match 11 of IPL 2020), Delhi lost the match by a margin of 15 runs to bag their first defeat of the season. They defeated Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings in their first two games before this defeat. They are currently at the second position in the points table with 4 points.
Sun Risers Hyderabad, before winning this game against DC, lost both their first two games to Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. They are currently placed at the sixth place in the points table with two points!
On the other hand, Virat Kohli was the first captain to be fined for slow over-rate in this IPL 2020 season. Royal Challengers Bangalore were found to have taken extra time to bowl their quota of 20 overs against Kings XI Punjab in the Match 6 of this season.
