IPL 2020, Match 11, Sun Risers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals - Sun Risers Hyderabad won by 15 runs
Tuesday, Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi
Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) finally found their feet to register their maiden victory in the ongoing IPL 2020 season beating Delhi Capitals (DC) on Tuesday! Before this match, SRH lost both their first two games while Delhi won both their first two games! This is a much needed victory for Sun Risers as they are falling behind others in the points table!
After being sent into bat first, SRH openers Jonny Bairstow (53 off 48) and David Warner (45 off 33) put on a steady partnership for the first wicket adding 77 runs in 9.3 overs. However, once again SRH lacked that sense of urgency to score quick runs until Kane Williamson walked out to the crease in 12th over. He played a little cameo scoring 41 runs off just 26 deliveries which helped SRH get to 162/4 in their 20 overs.

Not a bad IPL debut for SRH batter Abdul Samad who scored an unbeaten 12* runs in the 7 balls faced with a six and a four! Among the Delhi Capitals bowlers, Kagiso Rabada (2/21) and Amit Mishra (2/35) bagged two wickets apiece. Anrich Nortje who was very good with the ball in previous games for DC, conceded 40 runs without any wicket in this game.
In reply, Delhi were too cautious with their batting approach and that cost them the match in the end. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was their top-scorer with the bat as he scored 34 runs off 31 deliveries. SRH spinner Rashid Khan was impressive with the ball as he bagged three wickets in his 4 overs conceding just 14 runs.
After this match, Delhi Capitals are placed at second position with 4 points while Sun Risers are at the sixth position with two points. For his crucial match-winning bowling figures, Rashid has been adjudged as the 'Player of the Match' in this game.
