Zimbabwe Cricket gets government nod to tour Pakistan

Zimbabwe Government has provided necessary approvals and had given permission to Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) to tour Pakistan for the scheduled upcoming international tour to Pakistan. As per the ICC FTP schedule, this limited-overs tour is scheduled in the months of October and November.

"The Sports and Recreation Commission hereby gives you notice, following your application, that the Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation has approved your request to play the referenced matches," stated an official letter to ZC from Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) Director General Prince Mupazviriho in reference to Pakistan tour.

The SRC has also voiced their opinion on the COVID-19 precautionary measures that are to be taken during the training camps in Zimbabwe and while on the tour! As per the reports, Zimbabwe have already started a 25-member training camp, set up in Harare from Tuesday (Sep 22).

As part of this tour, Zimbabwe are scheduled to play three ODIs at the start of the tour followed by as many T20I games. The ODI series will also be a part of the ICC's Cricket World Cup Super League. The three ODIs in this tour are scheduled to be played on Oct 30, Nov 1 and on Nov 3 where as the T20Is will be played on Nov 7, 8 and 10. The venues for this tour are yet to be finalized!

Head to Head Battle:

ODIs: Zimbabwe managed to win 4 ODIs against Pakistan out of 59 games. Pakistan won 52 games while a game was tied and two other games were abandoned!

T20Is: Pakistan had won all the 11 games played against Zimbabwe in this format of the game!
