RR's quick rampage at the start was silenced by the early wickets of Steven Smith (5 off 5) and Sanju Samson (4 off 3) as they did not recover from those two early blows! Mahipal Lomror scored 47 runs off 39 deliveries during the middle overs while Rahul Tewatia (24* off 12) and Jofra Archer (16* off 10) added 40 runs in just 22 deliveries to help RR to get to this par total in this venue.
RCB did not look uncomfortable for once chasing this par target against the intimidating Royals bowling line-up! Opener Devdutt Padikkal (63 off 45) and captain Virat Kohli (72* off 53) scored half-centuries each and helped RCB to register what was their third victory of the season! RCB spinner Yuzvendra Chahal bagged 'Player of the Match' award for his bowling figures of 3/24 in his 4 overs!
