For Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma made a comeback from injury to lead them in this match. Though he made a negligible contribution with the bat (4 runs off 7 deliveries), it was his fitness that will be closely monitored for the rest of the IPL 2020 season for his selection for Australia tour. For the record, Indian squads for all three formats have been already announced and Rohit's selection was subject to his fitness in the IPL tournament.

After being sent into bat first, Mumbai made a steady start scoring 81 runs in the first 11 overs losing just 2 wickets. And then they lost their way and were reduced to 82 for 5 courtesy a brilliant comeback from the SRH bowlers. Even though Kieron Pollard (41 off 25) played a little cameo in the death overs, it was not enough for them to post a daunting total on the board.

Mumbai managed to score 149/8 in 20 overs. This was a below par score in Sharjah by the standards of Mumbai's batting line-up. Among SRH bowlers Sandeep Sharma bagged three wickets while Jason Holder and Shabaz Nadeem bagged two wickets each. Wrist-spinner Rashid Khan bagged a sole wicket. Nadeem not just picked up two wickets in this innings but also bowled economically conceding just 19 runs from his 4 overs.

During the chase, SRH batsmen did not put a foot wrong! There are no dropped chances or even half chances during this chase! Both SRH openers remained unbeaten to guide SRH to a thumping 10-wicket victory. David Warner scored unbeaten 85* runs (10 fours, 1 six) while Wriddhiman Saha scored unbeaten 58* runs (7 fours, 1 six) in this big victory. Shahbaz Nadeem had been adjudged as the 'Player of the Match' for his economical spell with the ball.

With this victory, SRH by virtue of Net Run Rate finished at the No. 3 position pushing down RCB to No. 4 position. Both these will face off each other in the Eliminator (playoff game) on Friday (Nov 06) at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, KKR who were at fourth position in the table prior to this match have been knocked out of the season.

Brief Scores: Sun Risers Hyderabad - 151/0 in 17.1 overs (David Warner - 85*, Wriddhiman Saha - 58*) defeated Mumbai Indians - 149/8 in 20 overs (Kieron Pollard - 41, Suryakumar Yadav - 36, Sandeep Sharma - 3/34, Shabaz Nadeem - 2/19) by a margin of 10 wickets
