Lord's ton was special but MCG knock tops the lot

India lost the first Test match of the 4-match Test series in quite a heart breaking manner – 36 all out in second innings at Adelaide Oval. However, led by their stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane, India made a miraculous comeback in the Boxing Day Test match at the MCG to be in the driver’s seat at stumps on Day 2.

In the second Test match, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin with 7 wickets between them led the bowling unit to clean up Australia for just 195 runs in their first innings on Day 1. On Day 2, Rahane scored his 12th Test hundred (104 not out) and was involved in two 50+ stands and a 100+ stand to take India to a comfortable 82-run lead at stumps on Day 2.
