Australian former pacer Glenn McGrath has been tested positive for the COVID-19 with three days for the fourth Ashes Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The SCG has been, over the years, known to host pink-ball Test matches at the start of a year thereby raising funds for the McGrath Foundation which supports those with breast cancer.

As per a report published by Cricket Australia, Glenn McGrath can attend the play at the SCG on the third day if he returns a negative test. The third day of the SCG Test match is officially called Jane McGrath Day and it would be great to have his presence at the venue on that day!
"Glenn has had a PCR test which unfortunately returned a positive result. We wish Glenn and his family good health. We are grateful to our partners at Cricket Australia and the SCG, as well as the England cricket team and the broadcasters for their ongoing support for the Pink Test and look forward to still making this the pinkest Ashes," said McGrath Foundation chief executive Holly Masters, as reported by Cricket Australia.
On the other hand, McGrath would be virtually present at the venue on Monday (Jan 02) when both home team Australia and visitors England would be presented with their baggy pink caps for the Test match!
Australia won all the three Test matches so far played in this Ashes and are leading the 5-match series by 3-0 with 2 matches to go. The fourth Test match would be played at SCG from January 05 before moving to Hobart for the fifth Test match!
