Former Indian captain and legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar believes that he might help the current out-of-form player Virat Kohli to regain the confidence to play with much-improved confidence at the international level! In the recent past, Virat Kohli's dismissals almost all were outside the off-stump and it has been turned out to be a worry for both the batter and the Indian team in particular!

The legendary Indian batsman who scored 70 international centuries so far is enduring the worst run with the bat and has noticeably failed to score a single three-digit score across all the formats since November 2019.
Worryingly, he managed to score just 76 runs with a best score of 20 from the six innings across formats on the recently concluded England tour. He featured in both the innings of the rescheduled fifth Test match and two ODIs and two T20Is. Even though, India lost the fifth Test and had drawn the 5-match Test series, they went on to win the T20I and ODI series by 2-1 margin.
"If I had about 20 minutes with him, I would be able to tell him the things he might have to do. It might help him, I am not saying it will help him but it could, particularly with regards to that off-stump line," said Sunil Gavaskar as quoted by PTI Sports.
"Having been an opening batter, having been troubled by that line, there are certain things that you try and do. It goes back to the fact that his first mistake turns out to be his last. Again, just because he is not amongst the runs, there is this anxiety to play at every delivery because that is what batters feel, they have got to score," added Gavaskar.
Virat Kohli had earlier in 2014 faced the same issue of getting out poking at outside off-stump deliveries. Few net sessions with Sachin Tendulkar in Mumbai post the conclusion of that series had helped him regain the form and Kohli literally ruled in the cricket from the end of 2015 to 2019!
Not to mention, there were calls being made and debates happening about whether or not to include Virat Kohli in the shorter format of the game! This certainly is the lowest point of his career considering his records at the international level! He surely has to make amends very fast to his batting skill again to sustain in cricket currently.
