Bumrah's career-best help India win first England ODI

Batting first may have worked for England in the third and final T20I against India on Sunday (Jul 10) but they imploded in the first ODI on Tuesday to give India a handy lead in the 3-match series! Despite bearing the tag as world-beaters in the shorter formats, England were bowled out for just 110 runs, including four scores of naught from their top 6 batters.

After being sent into bat first, England had a tough time losing their fifth wicket in the first 8 overs with just 26 runs on the board! The best stand for the home team was the 35-run stand between David Willey and Brydon Carse for the 9th wicket! Jasprit Bumrah enjoyed a lot of success in this match as he registered bowling figures of 6/19 from his 7.2 overs!

Shami played the supporting act superbly returning figures of 3/31 from his 7 overs! Eventually, England were bowled out for just 110 runs in 25.2 overs! By the might of their batting depth, this is very poor from the home team at their own home ground!

Indian openers - Rohit Sharma (76*) and Shikhar Dhawan (31*) - did not put a foot wrong as they chased down the target in 18.4 overs! With this massive 10-wicket victory, India are currently leading the 3-match series by 1-0. The second ODI will be played on Thursday (Jul 14) at Lord's.

Brief Scores: India - 114/0 in 18.4 overs (Rohit Sharma - 76*, Shikhar Dhawan - 31*) defeated England - 110 all out in 25.2 overs (Jos Buttler - 30*, Jasprit Bumrah - 6/19) by a margin of 10 wickets
