Bangladesh had a change in fortunes in the ODI format in what was otherwise a disappointing tour for them! The Tigers have defeated the home team West Indies in both the first two ODIs of the 3-match series to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 with a match to go!
Having been sent in to bat first, West Indies' batting looked very pale with none of their top-order batters spending time at the crease! Their no.8 Keemo Paul scored an unbeaten 25* off 24 balls which was their best score in this match! Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the pick of Bangladesh bowlers with 4/29 while Nasum Ahmed (10 - 4 - 19 - 3) also bowled brilliantly.
West Indies were eventually bowled out for 108 runs in 35 overs. In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target with 9 wickets in hand and in just 20.4 overs. Their captain Tamim Iqbal scored an unbeaten half-century to take them home! The third and final ODI of the series is scheduled to be on Saturday (Jul 16).
Brief Scores: Bangladesh - 108 all out in 35 overs (Keemo Paul - 25*, Mehidy Hasan Miraz - 4/29) defeated West Indies - 112/1 in 20.4 overs (Tamim Iqbal - 50*, Litton Das - 32*) by a margin of 9 wickets
