Toss Update: India won the toss and opted to field first.

After being sent into bat first, Zimbabwe scored just 189 runs before getting bowled out in 40.3 overs. They had let themselves down having lost their fifth wicket with just 66 runs on the board. Indian pacer Deepak Chahar was the wrecker-in-chief as he dismissed all Zimbabwe's top three players in this match.

Regis Chakabva (35), Richard Ngarava (34), and Brad Evans (33*) scored in the 30s each to help them post a competitive total on the board before getting bowled out! Among the Indian bowlers, Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna, and Axar Patel bagged 3 wickets each while Mohammad Siraj accounted for a wicket. Kuldeep Yadav, though bowled brilliantly, has been denied a wicket by the third umpire in a very ambiguous manner!

India, chasing 190 runs to win, chased down the target in just 30.5 overs unscatched. Openers Shubman Gill (82*) and Shikhar Dhawan (81*) got the job done as India registered their 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in this format of the game.

Match result: India defeated Zimbabwe by a margin of 10 wickets.

Deepak Chahar has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his crucial contribution of 3-27 from his 7 overs. India are currently leading the 3-match series by 1-0 with the second ODI on Saturday (Aug 20) at the same venue.

Brief Scores: India: 192-0 in 30.5 overs (Shubman Gill 82*, Shikhar Dhawan 81*) defeated Zimbabwe: 189-10 in 40.3 overs (Regis Chakabva 35, Axar Patel 3-24) by a margin of 10 wickets
