Kuwait edge out UAE in the last over thriller

Kuwait held their nerve comfortably defeat United Arab Emirates in the final over of the 2nd Match in the Asia Cup Qualifiers.

Toss Update: Kuwait won the toss and opted to field first.

After being sent into bat first, United Arab Emirates scored 173 on the board losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Chirag Suri top scored for them with 88 runs including 9 fours and 2 sixes. It was a valiant knock from Suri but, unfortunately, ended up on the losing side.

Kuwait, chasing 174 runs to win, managed to score 177 losing 9 wickets in 19.5 overs. Though UAE was in control for most part of the run-chase, Edson Silva's brisk knock (25 runs off just 14 balls) gave Kuwait the edge and the victory in the end.

Match result: Kuwait defeated United Arab Emirates by a margin of 1 wickets.

Edson Silva has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his crucial contribution of 25 runs off 14 deliveries with 2 fours and 2 sixes.
