SKY special help India beat Hong Kong

Suryakumar Yadav's special innings with the bat helped team India comfortably defeat Hong Kong in the 4th match of the ongoing Asia Cup in UAE. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli played very slow innings than they would have liked but Suryakumar's fireworks, in the end, helped India post a daunting total on the board!

Toss Update: Hong Kong won the toss and opted to field first.

After being sent into bat first, India scored 192 on the board losing 2 wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav was the star of the show with an unbeaten 68* runs off just 26 deliveries including 6 fours and 6 sixes. India's score was 94 for the loss of 2 wickets in 13 overs when SKY walked out to bat!

After a series of failures with the bat, KL Rahul was still not able to impress in this innings as he scored 36 runs off 39 deliveries! Kohli too maintained a similar strike rate until SKY arrived at the crease. However, India's strike rate has dramatically increased with the arrival of SKY to the crease. Kohli (59* off 44) too ended up scoring a half-century!

Hong Kong, chasing 193 runs to win, managed to score 152 losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Babar Hayat was their top scorer with 41 runs as the Hong Kong team lost the match by 40 runs! It was unforgettable outings for the two young Indian pacers - Avesh Khan (1/53) and Arshdeep Singh (1/44) - as they conceded heavily in this steep run chase.

Match result: India defeated Hong Kong by a margin of 40 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his crucial contribution of 68* not out off 26 deliveries with 6 fours and 6 sixes. With this thumping 40-run victory, India qualified for the Super 4s from Group A.
