Sri Lanka beat India in the Super 4s with a ball to spare

All-round Sri Lanka narrowly defeated India in the 3rd match in the Super 4s of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 edition in UAE. With two wins in two games, Sri Lanka are almost through to the Finals while India will only have a chance if Afghanistan beat Pakistan tonight!

Toss Update: Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to field first.

After being sent into bat first, India scored 173 on the board losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma top scored with 72 runs from 41 deliveries with 5 fours and 4 sixes as India managed to get to a competitive total on the board! The effort from India's middle order was too casual in their batting approach from the past two games!

Madushanka broke the back of India's scorecard with a 3-wicket haul while all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne and captain Dasun Shanaka bagged 2 wickets each! After two consecutive half-centuries, Virat Kohli bagged a 4-ball Duck in this match that upset India's plans at the beginning!
