Sri Lanka defeat Afghanistan in Super 4 opener in Asia Cup

With a collective batting effort, Sri Lanka comfortably defeated Afghanistan in the 1st match of the Super Four of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 edition in UAE. Afghanistan were indeed 20-30 short runs after batting first and that was clearly evident in the second half of the game as Lankans chased down the target quite comfortably!

After being sent into bat first, Afghanistan scored 175 on the board losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 84 runs off just 45 deliveries and was the main contributor to this competitive total.
