Rain played spoilsport as the third and final T20I of the 3-match series in Australia between the home team and England ended in no result. The match was first reduced to 17 overs per side and was later reduced to 12 overs in which England scored 112 runs losing 2 wickets. Only 3.5 overs were possible during the run-chase in which Australia scored 30 runs losing 3 wickets!

The home team got off to a very false start losing both Aaron Finch and Mitchell Marsh on the first two deliveries of the run-chase respectively bowled by Chris Woakes. In fact, Woakes claimed all the 3 wickets to fall in the Aussies' innings! Players went off the field after 3.5 overs were bowled in Australia's innings and never returned as the conditions were not fit.
This 3rd T20I was abandoned at that point. England already won the first two T20Is of this series and are awarded the series! Coincidentally, England won both the first two T20Is by a margin of 8 runs. With T20 World Cup starting this Sunday (Oct 16), let us all hope that we will get to see full games all through the tournament!
