Spinners, Allen set up big win for New Zealand over Pakistan

Spinners along with the openers helped New Zealand set up a thumping win against Pakistan in the 4th match of the ongoing T20I Tri-series in New Zealand. With this thumping victory, New Zealand reinstated their dominating credentials at home!

Toss Update: Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first.

Having opted to bat first, Pakistan scored just 130 runs on the board losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. NZ Spinners wreaked havoc with the ball bagging 5 wickets between them while Tim Southee bagged 2 wickets. Michael Bracewell was the pick of the bowlers having conceded just 11 runs from his 4 overs while bagging 2 crucial wickets of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam.

Iftikhar Ahmed top scored for them with 27 runs as Pakistan marched along to just a par total in the cold conditions in Christchurch. Even Asif Ali couldn't do much who remained unbeaten on 25* off the 20 deliveries faced!

New Zealand, chasing 131 runs to win, managed to score 131 losing 1 wicket in 16.1 overs. The openers scored almost all of the runs in this low run-chase. Finn Allen scored 62 runs off just 42 deliveries while Devon Conway was left stranded on 49* not out off 46 deliveries in this crushing victory!
