Group A hosts India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B features Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. Each team will play the others in their group once, with the top two from each group proceeding to the Super Four. The two best teams from that stage will battle for the title in the final on 28 September in Dubai.
The opening clash between Afghanistan and Hong Kong takes place on 9 September in Abu Dhabi, while the eagerly anticipated India vs Pakistan encounter is scheduled for 14 September in Dubai—a fixture that always delivers high drama and attracts millions of viewers.
Given the intense heat of September in the UAE, 18 of the 19 matches will now begin at 6:30 PM GST (8:00 PM IST) for player comfort and peak viewership. The only exception will be the UAE vs Oman clash on 15 September, which will be a day game starting at 4:00 PM GST.
With a stacked lineup, strategic groupings, and adjusted scheduling, the Asia Cup 2025 sets the stage for blockbuster cricket and serves as a crucial preparation step for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
