4th Test: England defeat South Africa by 191 runs

England defeated South Africa in the fourth and final Test match at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg to win the series by 3-1. It was a rare sight to see a visiting team defeating a top side at home but that is what exactly happened in this series. South Africa won the first Test match while England won the remaining three Test matches to win the series!

In this fourth Test match, England scored a cumulative of 648 runs (400 runs in the first innings & 248 runs in the second innings) while South Africa scored just 457 runs to lose the match. England bowler Mark Wood has been the top performer in this match with 53 runs with the bat and nine wickets with the ball!

Incidentally, Mark Wood has been adjudged as the 'Player of the Match' for his all-round skills while Ben Stokes has been adjudged as the 'Player of the Series'. With this Wanderers Test match, the four-match series comes to an end. The three-match ODI series between these two teams will kick with the first ODI on next Tuesday (Feb 04) at New Lands Stadium in Cape Town.
