Hobart Hurricanes defeat Adelaide Strikers by 10 runs

Hobart Hurricanes defeated Adelaide Strikers in the second game on Sunday (Jan 26) at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide to go to the fourth position in the points table. In what turned out to be a high-scoring affair, Hurricanes got over the line with 10 runs.

Having opted to bat first, Hurricanes posted a mammoth score of 217 for 1 in 20 overs courtesy an unbeaten 130* (off 61 balls) from captain Matthew Wade and 55-ball 72 from D'Arcy Short. In reply, Strikers managed to score only 207 for 8 in 20 overs losing the game by 10 runs.

Matthew Wade has been adjudged as the 'Player of the Match' for his unbeaten century in this high-scoring game.
