England defeated South Africa by a margin of 2 wickets in the third ODI of the three-match series at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday (Feb 09) to level the series 1-1. South Africa won the first ODI while England won the third ODI. The second ODI was washed out by rain.
In a must-win match, England won the toss and opted to bowl first. South Africa scored 256 for 7 courtesy 69 runs each from Quinton de Kock (69 off 81) and David Miller (69* off 53). In reply, England chased down the target with two wickets in hand and 6.4 overs to spare.
Adil Rashid has been adjudged as the 'Payer of the Match' for his three wickets which includes prized scalps of Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma.
