A brilliant game to cherish for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) as they crushed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their second game of the tournament. Punjab captain KL Rahul made most of the two dropped chances and broke a few records on his way to second century in the IPL!

After being sent into bat first, KXIP openers (KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal) gave them a steady start adding 57 runs for the first wicket! Then Punjab's innings was all about KL Rahul till the end who completed with an unbeaten 132* off just 69 deliveries with 14 fours and 7 sixes. Next best individual score in Punjab's innings was 26 runs from Mayank Agarwal!

Punjab towards the end of their innings were only targeting for a total around 170. However, RCB captain Virat Kohli dropped Rahul twice in his 80s (on 83 and on 89) and Rahul went berserk from that moment ! Since the second dropped chance (was batting on 89 off 59 deliveries), Rahul scored 43 runs off just 10 deliveries.

Kings XI captain remained unbeaten on 132* off just 69 deliveries and his innings boosted them to finish with a mammoth total of 206/3 in 20 overs! Punjab scored 74 runs from the final four overs (14 runs in 17th over, 11 in 18th, 26 in 19th and 23 in 20th over). From being completely out of the game during their middle overs to setting a thumping target, Punjab made a roaring comeback in this game!

In reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore were at no stage of the chase looked comfortable! Their spinner Washington Sundar was their top scorer with the bat having scored 30 runs off 27 deliveries! Only two other batsmen of RCB (AB de Villiers - 28, Aaron Finch - 20) managed to get into 20s! Overall, RCB were cleaned up for just 109 runs conceding a massive 97-run victory to Kings XI Punjab.

On a lighter note, KL Rahul (unbeaten 132*) alone defeated the whole RCB team (109 all out) by margin of 23 runs! Deservingly, Rahul had been adjudged as the 'Player of the Match' for his crucial knock with the bat in this massive victory.
