Josh Hazlewood who replaced Lungi Ngidi in the playing XI returned bowing figures of 0/28 in his 4 overs. This was pretty much a decent performance for a pace bowler! CSK opener Murali Vijay once again put on a forgettable show with the bat scoring just 10 runs off the 15 deliveries he faced. The 54-run fourth wicket partnership between Faf du Plessis (43 off 35) and Kedar Jadhav (26 off 21) shepherded the chase for a while but Chennai couldn't get anywhere near to the target! In the end, they lost the game by a good margin of 44 runs.
Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje picked up 5 wickets between them and conceded just 47 runs from their 8 overs. DC opener Prithvi Shaw has been adjudged as the 'Player of the Match' for his superb half-century that helped them post a match-winning total on the board.
