Clinical run-chase from home team Pakistan as they chased down a 207-run target in the second ODI of the three-match series against Zimbabwe to win the series by 2-0. After giving a close fight in the first ODI of the series, Zimbabwe completely failed to show up in this second ODI with both bat and the ball.

Having opted to bat first, Zimbabwe failed with the bat to build partnerships. The 61-run partnership between Sean Williams and Brendan Taylor and a half-century from Sean Williams (75 off 70) are the only highlights for Zimbabwe in this match! Overall, visitors made just 206 in 45.1 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed bagged a five-for, his maiden 5-fer in this format, and with it he rattled through Zimbabwe's middle-order to restrict them to such a low total.

During the chase, Pakistan though lost four wickets chased down the target eventually in just the 36th over with 6 wickets in hand. Captain Babar Azam was their top-scorer with an unbeaten 77 runs from 74 balls including 7 fours and 2 sixes. Imam-ul-Haq also contributed with the bat scoring 49 runs off 61 deliveries.

With this victory, Pakistan took an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match ODI series. Iftikhar Ahmed bagged the 'Player of the Match' for his five-for that restricted Zimbabwe to a par total. The third and final ODI of the series is scheduled to be played at the same venue on Tuesday (Nov 03).
