Hosts South Africa finally came good with the bat in the 3-match T20I series. The unbeaten 127* run partnership for the fourth wicket between Faf du Plessis (52* off 37) and van der Dussen (74* off 32) helped hosts to finish with a massive 191/3 on the board in 20 overs. Until the death overs, hosts were nowhere near getting to a huge total but the duo of Faf and van der Dussen scored 84 runs from the final five overs to help Proteas get to a 190+ total.

Among England bowlers, Ben Stokes bagged two wickets while Chris Jordan accounted for a wicket. With the sole wicket Jordan picked up in this match, he became the leading wicket-taker for England in Twenty20 International format with 66 wickets. The total was huge but the other side of the innings break did not have any good news for the home team!

Chasing a mammoth target, England lost opener Jason Roy in the fourth over and that was the only wicket to fall in England's innings. What followed after the wicket of Roy was a record-breaking unbeaten 167* run partnership between Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan for the second wicket. Buttler was unbeaten on 67* off 46 deliveries while Dawid Malan was left stranded on 99* as the duo took England to a crushing 9-wicket victory with 2.2 overs to spare.

Dawid Malan bagged the 'Player of the Match' award for his match-winning unbeaten 99* runs. He also bagged the 'Player of the Series' award for scoring 173 runs in the two games. With this victory, England completed a 3-0 whitewash in the 3-match T20I series. Both the teams will now meet in the 3-match series beginning from Friday (Dec 04).

Brief Scores: England - 192/1 in 17.4 overs (Dawid Malan - 99*, Jos Buttler - 67*, Anrich Nortje - 1/37) defeated South Africa - 191/3 in 20 overs (van der Dussen - 74*, Faf du Plessis - 52*, Ben Stokes - 2/26, Chris Jordan - 1/42) by a margin of 9 wickets
