Courtesy of brilliant performances from Ismail (2/20 in 4 overs) and Marizanne Kapp (3/24 in 4 overs), South Africa Women restricted Pakistan Women to just 124/8 in 20 overs. Home team chased down the target comfortably with 8 wickets in hand!
West Indies’ Anisa Mohammed (120 wickets), Australia’s Ellyse Perry (114) and England’s Anya Shrubsole (102) are the others to have achieved this feat in Women T20Is prior to Ismail. On the other hand, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga (107) is the only player to have picked up 100+ wickets in T20Is in Men’s cricket!
