Going by the success in the first T20I, Pakistan chose to bat first in this second T20I. Though top order failed to put up big scores, their lower-order batsmen Iftikar Ahmed (32 off 19) and Shadab Khan (28* off 12) helped them get to a competitive score of 172/8 in 20 overs. Windies spinner Akeal Hosein (1/16 in 4 overs) was once again superb with the ball being economical for the second time in a row!

West Indies lost regular wickets during the chase but opener Brandon King kept them in the chase with his superb half-century (67 off 43). It was his dismissal in the 16th over followed by 3 wickets in the 17th over bowled by Shaheen Afridi that helped Pakistan make a strong comeback in this match! Romario Shepherd remained unbeaten to keep in the hunt but the Windies fell short by 9 runs in the end conceding the match by 9 runs as well as the series!

Shadab Khan for his cameo (28* off 12, 1 four, 3 sixes) with the bat has been adjudged as the Player of the match! The third and final T20I of this 3-match series will be played at the same venue - National Stadium, Karachi - on Thursday (Dec 16).

Brief Scores: Pakistan - 172/8 in 20 overs (Mohammad Rizwan - 38, Odean Smith - 2/24) defeated West Indies - 163 all out in 20 overs (Brandon King - 67, Shaheen Afridi - 3/26) by a margin of 9 runs
