Bangladesh thump Zimbabwe in the 2nd T20I to level series

Bangladesh were outfoxed entirely by the hosts Zimbabwe in the first T20I but they bounced back nicely with an easy 7-wicket victory in the second T20I. The 3-match T20I series which is being played in Zimbabwe is now level 1-1.

Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bat first. Having opted to bat first, Zimbabwe posted 135/8 on the board in 20 overs. Sikandar Raza contributed heavily to this total with his second consecutive half-century of the series but it all went in vain! The total from the hosts was not enough and was chased down quite comfortably by the visitors on the other side of the innings break.

Bangladesh successfully chased down the target losing just 3 wickets in 17.3 overs. Litton Das started off well with a 33-ball 56 but the player of the match performance was from Bangladesh bowler Mosaddek Hossain who registered bowling figures of 5/20 from his 4 overs. Deservingly, he has also been declared the Player of the Match!

The third and final T20I of this series will be played in Harare on Tuesday (Aug 02). With the series on the line, both teams are expected to better cricket in this series decider!
