England won the toss and opted to field first. After being sent into bat first, South Africa posted a total of 191/5 on the board in 20 overs courtesy of half-centuries each from opener Reeza Hendricks (70 off 50) and Aiden Markram (51* off 36). Rilee Rossouw (31 off 18) and David Miller (22 off 9) added enough firepower at the end as the visitors posted a massive total on the board.
England, chasing 192 runs to win, put together a total of 101 losing 10 wickets in 16.4 overs. A Series of single-digit scores have hurt the hosts as they were bundled out for a low score to concede the match and the series! Their two top scorers in this match, Bairstow (27 off 30) and Roy (17 off 18) had a poor strike rate! Shamsi was brilliant with the ball as he bagged his maiden 5-for in this format of the game!
The limited-overs series between England and South Africa is now complete with the 3-match ODI series shared 1-1 and South Africa winning the T20I series by 2-1. South Africa will now move to Ireland to play two T20Is on Aug 03 & 05.
