India take unassailable lead in 4th Windies T20I

Rishabh Pant's 44 and bowling brilliance from Arshdeep Singh (3-12) and Avesh Khan (2-17) helped India comfortably defeat West Indies in the 4th T20I of the 5-match series at Lauderhill. India are currently enjoying an unassailable lead of 3-1 in this 5-match series.

Toss Update: West Indies won the toss and opted to field first.

After being sent into bat first, openers - Rohit Sharma (33 off 16) and Suryakumar Yadav (24 off 14) - got India off to a flier with a 44-run opening wicket partnership. India posted a score of 191 on the board losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Rishabh Pant (44 off 31) was the top scorer for India while Sanju Samson (30* off 23) and Axar Patel (20* off 8) provided the late impetus to the scorecard.

Obed McCoy may have been the home team hero in the 2nd T20I of this series with a 6-wicket haul but Indian batters targetted him heavily in this 4th T20I. His figures of 2/66 from his 4 overs are his most expensive numbers in this format of the game!

West Indies, chasing 192 runs to win, were bowled out for 132 runs in 19.1 overs. Arshdeep Singh was the top wicket-taker with 3 wickets while Avesh Khan was the pick of Indian bowlers with 2-17 from his 4 overs. In a format where Windies were termed favorites, India are ruling the series at the moment!

Match result: India defeated West Indies by a margin of 59 runs.
