Shubman Gill's 130 helps India to complete whitewash

Shubman Gill's hundred and Avesh Khan's bowling effort helped India defeat Zimbabwe in the 3rd and final ODI of the 3-match series to complete a whitewash. Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza scored a century during the run-chase but in vain as India clinched a close 13-run victory!

Toss Update: India won the toss and opted to bat first.

Having opted to bat first, India scored 289 on the board losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. Gill scored his maiden century in ODIs and contribution from the remaining three of the top 4 batters helped India post a competitive total on the board. Ishan Kishan at no. 4 scored a fifty while the openers - Dhawan & Rahul - collectively scored 70 runs!

Zimbabwean pacer Brad Evans bagged his maiden five-wicket haul in this format but ended up on the losing side! He returned bowling figures of 5-54 from his 10 overs.

Zimbabwe, chasing 290 runs to win, managed to score 276 losing 10 wickets in 49.3 overs. Sikandar Raza scored 115 runs but couldn't take his team over the line tonight! Avesh Khan registered a 3-wicket haul while Kuldeep Yadav (2-38 from 10 overs) and Axar Patel (2-30 from 10 overs) bowled economically!

Match result: India defeated Zimbabwe by a margin of 13 runs.

Shubman Gill has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his crucial contribution of 130 runs off 97 deliveries with 15 fours and a six. With this 13-run victory, India have completed a 3-0 series whitewash!
