Pakistan, after being sent into bat first, lost captain Babar Azam cheaply and early for just 9 runs. Mohammad Rizwan (78* off 57) and Fakhar Zaman (53 off 41) added 116 runs for the second wicket to give them a solid foundation! Khushdil Shah then scored an unbeaten 35* runs from just 15 deliveries to help Pakistan get to 193/2 in 20 overs.
Pakistan's score was 129-2 in 16.1 overs at the fall of Fakhar's wicket. Hitting in the last 4 overs was the next level as Pakistan almost notched up the 200-mark from nowhere! Ehsan Khan bagged both the wickets to fall in Pakistan's innings!
Hong Kong, in reply, looked nowhere comfortable facing the Pakistan bowlers. None of their batters got into double digits with 10 Extras being their top scorer. Captain Nizahat Khan scored 8 runs which was the best for their batters in this match!
Shadab Khan starred with the ball with 4 wickets while Mohammad Nawaz bagged 4 wickets. Naseem Shah (2/7) and Shanawaz Dahani (1/7) are the other wicket-takers in the Pakistan line-up.
Pakistan's wicket-keeper and opener Mohammad Rizwan has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his unbeaten knock of 78 runs off just 57 deliveries including 6 fours and a six.
